Managed Secureframe for Georgia

Secureframe consultants for Georgia companies: SOC 2 and the privacy laws that apply from out of state

Truvo Cyber offers managed Secureframe to companies in Atlanta and across Georgia, delivered by our consultants in the US and Canada. Georgia has no comprehensive consumer privacy law as of October 2026, so the privacy duties a Georgia SaaS company carries usually come from its customers' states, and from its customers' contracts. The full service is described on the managed Secureframe services page.

  • SOC 2 audit readiness inside the Secureframe account you own
  • A map of which state privacy laws reach your customers, tracked in Secureframe
  • Breach response plan covering Georgia's statute and your customers' states
  • CCPA and CPRA enabled in Secureframe where California customers are in scope

Georgia privacy and breach rules a Secureframe program should cover

A Georgia company's state-law obligations depend on where its customers and their consumers live. Secureframe supports CCPA and CPRA directly, and other state laws can be loaded as custom frameworks mapped to SOC 2.

How managed Secureframe works for a Georgia company: Assess, Build, Operate

The same security lead stays with you through each audit cycle.

01

Assess

Review your Secureframe account and map where your customers and their consumers live, so the state laws that apply are listed with owners. Output: a gap list with dates.

02

Build

Connect missing integrations, enable the privacy frameworks that apply, write the multi-state breach plan and fix failing tests with your engineers.

03

Operate

Monitor Secureframe each business day, add new state laws as your customer base grows, answer customer security reviews and manage each annual SOC 2 audit.

Questions about Secureframe consulting in Georgia

Georgia has no comprehensive consumer privacy law as of October 2026. SB 111, the proposed Georgia Consumer Privacy Protection Act, passed the Senate in 2025, but in 2026 its text was replaced with an unrelated tax credit provision before enactment. Georgia companies still fall under other states' privacy laws when they serve those states' residents.

It depends on where your customers' consumers live and how much personal data you handle. The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act covers businesses offering a product or service Texas residents use, with no consumer-count threshold. Colorado and Minnesota apply at 100,000 consumers a year, or 25,000 for businesses that earn revenue from selling personal data (over 25% of gross revenue in Minnesota). As a processor, your customers will pass their duties to you by contract, often including an independent assessment such as a SOC 2 report.

O.C.G.A. 10-1-912 places the duty to notify residents on information brokers and government data collectors. A business holding personal data on behalf of either must notify it within 24 hours of discovering a breach. Other states' breach laws apply to their own residents in your data, so a Georgia company typically plans for several states at once.

Secureframe supports CCPA, CPRA and GDPR directly, along with NIST Privacy Framework. For other states, Secureframe supports custom frameworks, so we load each law's duties as a custom framework mapped to the SOC 2 controls you already run.

Yes. Truvo Cyber has Secureframe consultants in the US and Canada. Secureframe, your integrations and the audit firm's fieldwork all work online, and your security lead meets your team by video on a schedule set at kickoff.
