Managed Secureframe for Colorado

Secureframe consultants for Colorado companies: SOC 2, the Colorado Privacy Act and AI rules

Truvo Cyber offers managed Secureframe to companies in Denver, Boulder and across Colorado, delivered by our consultants in the US and Canada. Colorado customers bring privacy and security duties of their own: processor audits under the Colorado Privacy Act, a 30-day breach notice deadline, and a law on automated decision-making technology with obligations from January 1, 2027. The full service is described on the managed Secureframe services page.

  • SOC 2 audit readiness inside the Secureframe account you own
  • Colorado Privacy Act duties tracked as a custom framework
  • Incident response plan built to Colorado's 30-day notice rule
  • NIST AI RMF or ISO 42001 in Secureframe for teams using AI in consequential decisions

Colorado privacy, security and AI rules a Secureframe program should cover

Secureframe has no built-in Colorado Privacy Act framework, so we load its duties as a custom framework and map them to the SOC 2 controls you already run. For AI governance, Secureframe supports NIST AI RMF and ISO 42001.

What managed Secureframe includes for Colorado companies

One named security lead operates the account, with compliance analysts who work in GRC platforms every day.

Secureframe setup and integrations

Frameworks enabled, identity provider connected first, then cloud, code, HR and endpoint integrations, with each control assigned to an owner.

icon-6

Colorado Privacy Act custom framework

The act's controller and processor duties loaded as a custom framework and mapped to SOC 2, so shared evidence counts once.

icon-7

AI governance framework

For products that use AI in hiring, lending, insurance, housing, health care or education decisions, NIST AI RMF or ISO 42001 enabled in Secureframe ahead of the 2027 obligations.

icon-9

Weekly failing-test follow-up

Failing tests and integration errors triaged each week, with control owners chased until the evidence is in place and a short status report every Friday.

icon-5

Trust center and questionnaires

Your Secureframe trust center published with the SOC 2 report behind an NDA request, and customer security questionnaires answered from your controls.

icon-4

Audit readiness and auditor liaison

A readiness review before each SOC 2 or ISO 27001 audit, then coordination with your audit firm and its evidence requests.

How managed Secureframe works for a Colorado company: Assess, Build, Operate

The same security lead stays with you through each audit cycle.

01

Assess

Review your Secureframe account, check whether the Colorado Privacy Act applies to you as a controller, a processor or both, and whether your product makes or supports consequential decisions. Output: a gap list with owners and dates.

02

Build

Connect missing integrations, load the Colorado custom framework, update the incident response plan for the 30-day rule and fix failing tests with your engineers.

03

Operate

Monitor Secureframe each business day, keep assessments current, answer customer audit requests and manage each annual SOC 2 audit.

What a Colorado company holds after the Build phase

  • AI governance framework, where it applies

Questions about Secureframe consulting in Colorado

Secureframe lists GDPR, CCPA and CPRA among its privacy frameworks, but no Colorado framework. Secureframe supports custom frameworks, so we load the Colorado Privacy Act's duties (consumer rights, universal opt-out, data protection assessments and processor contracts) as a custom framework mapped to your SOC 2 controls.

With the customer's consent, yes. C.R.S. 6-1-1305 lets a processor arrange an annual audit by a qualified, independent auditor using an accepted control framework in place of the controller's own audits, and give the controller the report on request. A SOC 2 Type II report fits that description, and its scope should cover the systems that process the customer's personal data.

The 2024 Colorado AI Act (SB24-205) was delayed to June 30, 2026 by SB25B-004, then repealed and reenacted by SB26-189, signed on May 14, 2026. SB26-189 covers automated decision-making technology used in consequential decisions such as employment, lending, housing, insurance, health care and education. Developer obligations start January 1, 2027, and the Attorney General must adopt rules by the same date.

C.R.S. 6-1-716 requires notice to affected Colorado residents no later than 30 days after determining that a breach occurred. If 500 or more Colorado residents are affected, the Attorney General must be notified within the same 30 days, and more than 1,000 notified residents also triggers notice to the national consumer reporting agencies.
