Drata implementation and onboarding

A workspace for each framework, your identity provider connected first so every employee syncs in, then cloud, code repository, HR system and endpoint integrations, with controls and owners assigned.

icon-7

Policies, training and acknowledgements

Drata's policy templates tailored to your stack and processes, approved by leadership, then assigned to every synced employee for acceptance and security awareness training.

Failing tests followed up every week

We review Drata each business day, triage failing tests and integration errors, and follow up with control owners until the evidence is in place. A short status report reaches you every Friday.

Recurring controls completed on schedule

Quarterly access reviews, vendor risk reviews, the risk register and evidence uploads for manual controls, completed and documented inside Drata.

Drata Trust Center and security questionnaires

Your Drata Trust Center configured and published, with the SOC 2 report and pen test summary behind an NDA request. A security consultant reviews every questionnaire answer before it goes to the buyer.

Our Drata audit readiness services start with a readiness review before the audit window, then we coordinate with your audit firm and answer its evidence requests in Drata so your engineers stay on the product.

How our Drata SOC 2 service works: Assess, Build, Operate

Assess, Build, Operate. The same security lead stays with you through each audit cycle.

01

Assess

Review your Drata account: workspaces, connections, readiness by framework, policies approved, open tasks and the target audit date. Output: a Drata health check listing each gap with an owner and a date.

02

Build

Connect the missing integrations, tailor and approve the policies, fix failing tests with your engineers and publish the Trust Center. Output: a Drata account ready for the audit window.

03

Operate

Monitor Drata every business day, complete the recurring controls, keep evidence current, answer security questionnaires and manage each annual audit with your audit firm.

A clear cadence of proactive Drata management

A structured, transparent program of daily, weekly, monthly and annual activities keeps your Drata program on track.

Drata audit readiness: what you hold after the Build phase

Built inside the Drata account you already own.

  • In-scope integrations connected

  • Approved policy set

  • Controls assigned to named owners

Frequently asked questions about managed Drata services

Drata automates evidence collection and continuous testing for the systems it connects to. People still decide the audit scope, tailor policies to your processes, fix failing tests, complete manual controls such as access reviews and vendor reviews, and work with the auditor. Companies with a security lead who has time for that work often operate Drata themselves. Where that work falls to the CTO or an engineering lead, companies tend to bring in a Drata consultant or a managed service.

A Drata services partner helps a customer get value from the platform: setting up workspaces and integrations, tailoring policies, preparing for the SOC 2 audit and, in a managed service, operating the program afterwards. Truvo Cyber is a cybersecurity consulting firm that partners with Drata and operates it for clients as a monthly managed service, alongside vCISO, penetration testing and security questionnaire work.

Drata is the compliance platform. A licensed CPA firm performs the SOC 2 audit and issues the report, working from the evidence in your Drata account. Our Drata audit services cover the work before and during the audit: a readiness review, closing gaps, coordinating with the audit firm you choose and answering its evidence requests in Drata.

The timeline depends on how much of the setup is complete. The Assess phase of our managed Drata service ends with a Drata health check: each gap, its owner and a date. Closing the gaps depends on how many controls need a new process. Integrations and policies close fastest. Access reviews, change management and incident response testing take longer because the evidence builds over time. For SOC 2 Type 2, the observation period typically adds three to twelve months once controls are in place.

Before comparing Drata alternatives, start with a health check of your current Drata account. When the gaps are unconnected integrations, unapproved policies or controls without owners, fixing the setup is faster and keeps your evidence history and audit relationship in place. A switch makes sense when you need an integration or framework Drata lacks, or when your audit firm works better in another platform. We operate Drata, Vanta, Secureframe and others, so the recommendation follows your environment.

Yes. We configure the Drata Trust Center with your security commitments, compliance status and sub-processors, put the SOC 2 report and pen test summary behind an NDA request, and update it after each audit and control change. The AICPA restricts SOC 2 report use to specified parties, so the report itself belongs behind the access request.

Yes. Drata supports multiple frameworks, including ISO 27001 and ISO 42001, and maps shared controls across them, so much of your SOC 2 evidence carries over. ISO 27001 adds the ISMS scope (clause 4.3), the Statement of Applicability (clause 6.1.3), internal audit (clause 9.2) and management review (clause 9.3). ISO 42001 adds an AI management system with AI-specific risk and impact assessments. We build those pieces and operate every framework in the same Drata account.

Yes. Our Drata consultants deliver the managed Drata service remotely for companies across Canada and the United States. Drata, your integrations and the audit firm's fieldwork all work online, and your security lead meets your team by video on a schedule set at kickoff.
